Job Summary
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair agricultural and processing equipment including conveyors, motors, and gearboxes. Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime, replace faulty components like belts and seals, and calibrate machinery for safety and quality compliance. Respond promptly to mechanical breakdowns and emergencies, assist with new production line setups, and maintain documentation of all activities. Work closely with supervisors to prioritize repairs, follow OSHA regulations, and assist in team training. Requires 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience, forklift certification is a plus, and bilingual ability is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance
- Experience with pumps, motors, gear reducers, and production machinery
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of tools and repair techniques
- Ability to read mechanical diagrams, manuals, and work orders
- Basic understanding of electrical systems
- Knowledge of safety protocols
- Physically capable of lifting heavy parts
- Ability to work in varying conditions
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proactive approach to maintenance issues
