Job Summary
Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests on ASL waste trucks and rear load trucks to identify worn parts and vehicle deficiencies. Perform minor and major repairs, including overhauling power trains, electrical systems, and brakes, while completing preventive maintenance schedules and winterization procedures. Verify vehicle performance through test drives and adjust controls to comply with federal and state safety standards. Maintain accurate repair records, inventory supplies, and manage shop equipment to ensure trucks remain available for use.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- Excellent reading and writing skills
- Must be able to multi-task and have an attention to detail
- Must have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Great attention to detail
- ASE Diesel Certification preferred
- Must be able to multi-task and have an attention to detail
