Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on gas compressors, engines, drivers, coolers, valves, piping, and lubrication systems to minimize downtime and protect equipment. Diagnose mechanical failures, replace components like belts and bearings, and support start-up, shutdown, and changeover activities. Respond to equipment issues in a timely manner, coordinate with vendors and operators, and document all maintenance records and repair findings. Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours field issues and drive between sites as operational needs require.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Valid DOT medical card
- Willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency callouts based on operational needs
Desired Qualifications
- Technical training, trade school, or vocational certification in mechanics, diesel technology, industrial maintenance, welding, or a related field
- Oil and gas field experience
- Experience troubleshooting rotating equipment, gas compressors, engines, pumps, and related production equipment
- Experience working independently at remote field locations
- Experience with compressor engines, compressor controls, emissions-related maintenance, or compressor operating systems
- Welding, fabrication, or light electrical and instrumentation troubleshooting experience
- Familiarity with maintenance planning, parts management, work-order systems, and contractor coordination
