Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech II) at United Rentals; perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of rental equipment and tools across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems; maintain work orders and documentation; demonstrate equipment to customers; assist with pickup/delivery of equipment & parts; emphasize customer service and teamwork; requires own tools and ability to lift up to 45 lbs; safety-sensitive position with potential for advancement into higher-level tech roles.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- 1-2 years of experience repairing/maintaining vehicles and equipment; or trade school graduate
- Own tools applicable to position
- Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams
