Job Summary
Maintain and repair Crown brand warehouse equipment, including Taylor Dunn Carts, Tennant machines, Stock Pickers, and forklifts. Operate test equipment to troubleshoot connections, perform preventative maintenance, and safely replace lift batteries. Inspect all material-handling equipment, dispose of hazardous materials per OSHA procedures, and clean work areas. Conduct minor maintenance tasks under supervision while communicating with management. Requires working knowledge of basic electricity, machine shop practices, and blueprint reading. Self-motivated mechanics with strong communication skills and physical ability to lift 80 lbs are essential. Schedule includes 2PM to 10:30 PM shifts with Friday and Saturday off.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work 2PM - 10:30 PM with Friday/Saturday off
- Good communications skills
- Ability to work well with people
- Working knowledge of Basic Electricity & Electronics (BEE)
- Troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of Machine shop practices
- Working knowledge in Blueprint/Schematic reading
- Considerable skills in operating power tools
- Working skills of basic welding fundamentals
- Working knowledge of applied mathematics
- Basic computer knowledge
- Considerable skills in Maintenance mechanics
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment (Hi-lift, RC, Pallet Jack, etc.)
- Considerable knowledge of Safety practices
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
- Ability to understand written and oral instructions
- Must be self-motivated
- Must be dependable
- Considerable ability to multi-task
- Considerable ability to troubleshoot
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Sufficient physical ability to perform all maintenance tasks
- Occasionally lift and carry weight up to 80 lbs
- Occasionally climb ladders or use lift equipment to a height in excess of 28 ft
- Manual dexterity in hands and legs to use tools, bend and stretch
