Job Summary
Perform basic safe machine operation and inspection for earth moving equipment, diesel engines, and electric power generators. Disassemble, reassemble, and adjust engine, hydraulic, transmission, and electrical components while locating lubrication requirements. Assist experienced technicians in field service and maintain 5-Star Contamination Control procedures. Execute shop, yard, and job site clean-up, operate wash rack equipment, and create comprehensive service reports. Complete extensive on-the-job training, classroom instruction, and e-learning to remain in the program. Advance in classification based on attitude, skill level, and job performance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Entry level
- Basic technical skills
- Written communication skills
- Basic computing skills
- Area specific technical training
- OSHA & MSHA required training
- Vendor technical sites (info, Liftnet, SIMSi, etc.)
- Compliance training
- Ability to speak, write, type, and listen effectively
- Ability to safely grasp, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed
- Ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to safely climb on ladders, climb on equipment, and crawl under equipment
