Job Summary
Diagnose, inspect, and repair the City’s vehicles and a variety of diesel and gasoline powered maintenance and construction equipment under supervision. Use electronic diagnostic platforms to locate mechanical issues, troubleshoot and replace faulty parts, overhaul engines and transmissions, perform tune-ups and adjust components, maintain shop cleanliness and safety, and keep time/field records. May assist in setup/teardown for events and may be required to work on-call, evenings or weekends. Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and two years of related maintenance/repair experience.
Required Qualifications
- A High School diploma or equivalent is required
- Two years’ experience in general vehicle or equipment maintenance and repair, including one year of experience in a specialized area
