Job Summary
Mechanic needed to perform top-level repairs on ready-mix trucks and small equipment under the Fleet Manager. Responsibilities include installing, adjusting, and repairing production equipment and diesel engines; welding and cutting with torch; operating hand and power tools; testing malfunctioning machinery and discussing repairs with the head mechanic; replacing faulty parts and electrical components; installing and testing equipment; ensuring safe, clean work area; assisting other employees; providing technical advice to ready-mix drivers; possible service calls at other plants or emergency roadside repairs; must follow safety policies. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; vocational/technical certification is a plus; CDL preferred. Typical schedule is full-time, with overtime as needed. Locations: Hutto, Texas and East Waco, Texas.
