Job Summary
This position entails ensuring the safe working condition of all company vehicles through moderately supervised repairs and maintenance. Responsibilities include assisting higher-level mechanics, supervising underclass technicians, diagnosing mechanical issues, performing routine repairs, and maintaining a clean work area. The role requires good communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work with hand tools and shop equipment. A high school diploma or equivalent, along with two years of experience in a mechanic role, is required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years of work-related experience as a mechanic helper or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Able to communicate well verbally and in writing
- Able to speak, read, write in English
- Must own basic hand-tools
- Operational knowledge of basic hand tools and shop equipment required
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence
Desired Qualifications
- Type 3 License with a motor vehicle driver history record
