Job Summary
Test, maintain, and manage chemical treatment for campus boilers, while performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on rooftop exhaust systems, air handling units, and other building assets. Complete assigned work orders and respond to facilities emergencies, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, and building systems remain in good condition. Maintain equipment records, participate in the on-call rotation, and assist with snow removal and underground utility locator programs as needed. Work Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with a weekly on-call schedule every 6-7 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3-4 years of proven knowledge and experience in the areas of boiler operations, electrical, HVAC, and general plumbing
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to interact professionally with coworkers and customers, particularly in conflict situations
- Ability to multitask, meet specific deadlines, and prioritize tasks and assignments
- Skilled in basic math computations
- Ability to exercise good judgement and make decisions expeditiously
- Skilled at setting a good example for others
- Skilled at organizing projects and seeing them through to completion
- Ability to concentrate and focus in a noisy environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
