Job Summary
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on industrial machinery to ensure smooth and safe operations. Read job cards to determine status, work authorization, and problem descriptions. Test electro-mechanical equipment to troubleshoot issues, disassemble assemblies noting configuration, and clean parts using washers, steamers, or caustic tanks. Measure for replacement parts, requisition items from storekeeper, and replace or repair worn components such as bearings, motors, gears, seals, and impellers. Retest reassembled equipment, complete required paperwork accurately, and operate specialized repair tools. Observe all safety procedures, use proper protective gear, and maintain a clean work area.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Ability to understand, perform and retain various skill related training and operational and safety procedures demonstrated by supervisor
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
