Job Summary
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair semi-trucks and trailers, including tires, HVAC, brakes, steering, suspension, drive trains, and electrical systems. Drive a service truck to onsite locations for emergency breakdowns, consult customers, read work orders, and scope issues to prepare repair plans. Run diesel engine diagnostics, inspect vehicle systems, and repair or replace transmissions, brakes, engines, and associated parts. Conduct field visits for sudden breakdowns, test drive repaired vehicles, and perform oil changes, wheel balancing, and alignments. Maintain records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles. Valid driver's license required; training provided for new tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screens and physical
- Minimum age requirement 21
- Must maintain a valid driver's license at all times
- Pass a background check of SSN verification, DMV report, criminal background and work history
- General understanding of diesel diagnostics
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in basic mechanic duties/technician history preferred but not required
- Any certification in automotive service preferred
