Job Summary
Inspect, align, replace, adjust, and repair various bus components and systems while performing preventative maintenance on transit bus vehicles. Use instruments and gauges, including computers, to test and determine system malfunctions, then prepare written reports verifying that repairs were completed with documentation. Maintain inventory and records on stock parts and supplies. Minimum 21 years of age with a good driving history and possession of an IL Class C CDL with passenger endorsement required. Must meet all D.O.T. physical requirements and possess own tools. ASE certification or accredited school completion in automotive/diesel repair is necessary. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Good driving history
- IL state issued Class C CDL with passenger endorsement
- Meet all D.O.T. physical requirements
- Submit to and pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing
- Able to lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds
- Possess own tools
- Have proof of ASE certification or completion of Automotive/Diesel repair from an accredited school
