Job Summary
Diagnose and repair equipment used in the commercial cleaning, restoration and surface-prep industries. Equipment includes gas engines, truck-mounted carpet cleaning units, portable carpet extractors, hard surface floor cleaners, duct cleaning equipment, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, air movers, and HEPA vacuums. Utilize testing equipment and repair manuals, create service orders, and communicate estimates and service needs to customers. Coordinate shop workload, order parts, and schedule service with customers; maintain safe, clean work area and document work with customers and scheduling software. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and two+ years of relevant experience; valid driver license and ability to lift 50+ lbs. Occasional overtime; bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
Required Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience preferred in any of the following: commercial cleaning and restoration equipment, small engine repair and maintenance, pressure washer repair and maintenance or vehicle repair and maintenance
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Own a basic set of mechanic’s tools
- Must have a valid driver license
- Clean driving record with no DUIs or Reckless/Careless driving in 3 years
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required
