Job Summary
Diagnose and repair all systems and components of equipment used in commercial cleaning, restoration, and surface-prep industries, including truck-mounted carpet cleaners, duct cleaning units, and air scrubbers. Evaluate repair needs, create service orders, and coordinate shop workload with other technicians while maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas. Schedule service appointments, communicate with customers via phone or email, and present repair estimates. Order parts, coordinate with vendors, and meet service department quality and productivity goals. Requires two years of experience in small engine or vehicle repair, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift 50+ lbs. Occasional overtime work is required.
Required Qualifications
- Two or more years of experience in commercial cleaning and restoration equipment, small engine repair and maintenance, pressure washer repair and maintenance or vehicle repair and maintenance
- Valid driver license
- Clean driving record -No DUIs or Careless/Reckless driving on MVR (3 years)
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Own a basic set of mechanic's tools
- High level of technical skill, mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Efficient and accurate equipment diagnosis and problem solving skills
- Ability to focus and complete quality work in a timely manner
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. on a regular basis
- Professional appearance and demeanor with good written, oral communication skills and basic computer skills
- Occasional over time work
