Job Summary
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on company-owned tractors, trailers, and refrigerated units, adhering to OEM, DOT, and KNX specifications. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair internal/external components including cab bodies, suspension systems, diesel engines, and transmissions. Perform offsite roadside breakdowns, tire maintenance, and minor to complex repairs while maintaining a clean work environment. Lead assigned mechanics to ensure productivity goals are met and provide guidance on diagnostic procedures. Requires 3+ years of vehicle maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and proficiency in diagnostic software.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience with on the job training or diploma in vehicle maintenance from vocational or trade school
- Must possess the tools required to accomplish the essential job results required
- High School Diploma or combination of training and/or experience
- Drivers license
- Must possess superior customer service skills
- Must be able to read and understand repair manuals
- Must be able to complete/fill tags and repair orders
- Must be able to use and learn various diagnostic software used on tractor/trailers
- Must possess excellent computer skills
