Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance and major repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment. Coordinate repairs with managers and field specialists, reviewing Vehicle Inspection Reports to prioritize work. Order parts and supplies while completing required paperwork for vendors. Train field specialists on equipment maintenance and safe vehicle operation whenever possible. Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment in the shop and yard. This role is ideal for someone with experience in small engine, diesel, and aerial lift truck repair who can read diagnostic charts and troubleshoot mechanical issues. SavATree is a nationwide leader in tree, shrub, and lawn care services dedicated to preserving threatened trees.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in small engine repair and two-stroke engine maintenance
- Diesel engine repair and maintenance experience
- Experience operating and maintaining aerial lift (bucket) trucks
- Experience with spray equipment, tanks, and pumps
- Your own basic tools for engine repair and maintenance
- Ability to read and comprehend instruction manuals, diagnostic charts, and troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues
- A valid driver's license
- Authorization to lawfully work in the U.S.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move over fifty (50) pounds
Desired Qualifications
- ASE certification a plus
- Class B CDL
