Job Summary
Conduct thorough vehicle, machinery, and equipment inspections to identify damage, routine maintenance needs, or repair requirements on diesel, gas, and hydraulic systems. Develop and implement maintenance strategies while maintaining accurate records of work orders, expenses, and inspection reports. Utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems in heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and trucks. Perform Job Hazard Analysis before scopes of work and drive to sites involving live electrical hazards and inclement weather. Maintain a clean shop environment and manage inventory levels. Subject to on-call rotation after normal business hours as dictated by business needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.)
- Certification from a recognized vocational school or trade school
- Valid Class A CDL driver's license
- 3+ years with demonstrated knowledge of diesel and gas engine systems
- 3+ years with demonstrated knowledge of hydraulic systems
- 3+ years with demonstrated knowledge of electrical systems
- 3+ years with demonstrated knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and repair
- welding experience
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose complex problems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and working in various positions

- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Class A CDL driver's license
- Subject to on call after normal business hours
