Job Summary
Night-shift Mechanic responsible for inspecting machines, ensuring proper guarding and cycle times at shift start, monitoring material loading, grinders, hydraulic oil levels and temperatures, performing timely PMs, making minor machine adjustments/repairs to correct quality issues, recording downtime, and providing assistance to Production Assistants, QAs, other Mechanics, Technicians, and Engineers. Requires high school diploma or GED, own basic tools, and ability to read technical manuals, follow written instructions, and lift up to 50 pounds. Preferred plastics experience; forklift certification; strong communication, teamwork, and safety practices; experience with Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, EBM, RHB, SBM maintenance and processing.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Own set of basic tools
- Plastics experience preferred
- Able to stand, walk, lift, reach, bend, and climb continuously during 12 hour shift
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Can read and work from technical manuals
- Can use math as applied to maintenance work
- Can follow written instructions with minimal supervision
- Forklift certifiable
- Work well with others
- Positive morale
- Able to make thoughtful well-reasoned decisions
- Can pick up and move up to 50 pounds
- Must follow all Safety behaviors and keep a clean work space
- Must wear long sleeve shirts, pants, steel toe, ear plugs, safety glasses, hard hat, and hair net
- Experience in Electrical Pneumatic Hydraulic EBM , RHB. SBM maintenance and processing
