Job Summary
STIHL Service Technician supports store operations through STIHL equipment service and repair while also assisting customers. Responsibilities include providing friendly customer service related to STIHL products, performing service, maintenance, and basic repairs on STIHL equipment, assisting with troubleshooting, determining parts needed and communicating repair timelines, maintaining a clean service area, participating in STIHL training and Bronze/Silver certification after hire, supporting sales floor operations, stocking merchandise, and safely loading and securing lumber/equipment. Emphasis on customer service, safety procedures, vendor guidelines, and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn STIHL equipment service and repair
- Previous experience in small engine repair, construction, hardware, lumber, or retail environments preferred but not required
- Ability to obtain and maintain STIHL Bronze and Silver certifications after hire
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues with training and support
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Forklift experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions
- Physical ability to regularly lift and carry items weighing 25–50 lbs or more with assistance
