Job Summary
Operate, test, maintain, and repair safety shutdown systems, rotating equipment, and mechanical machinery on offshore production platforms. Monitor control panels, liquid levels, and flow rates to keep equipment within designed operating ranges, while performing preventative maintenance and seal replacements. Diagnose mechanical issues by observing devices and listening to operational sounds, then adjust parameters and report unusual conditions to the supervisor. Maintain comprehensive documentation of all work performed and entered into work management software in accordance with BSEE and USCG regulations. Work a 14x14 schedule with a terminal out of Abbeville, Houma, or Santa Fe; US work authorization without sponsorship is required.
Required Qualifications
- Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3-5 years offshore mechanic experience on a production platform
- Experience working on production platform equipment
- Turbine experience
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- 5-8 years offshore experience on a production platform
- Solar Turbine experience
- CAT C15 diesel generator experience
