Job Summary
Troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform basic diagnostics, and schedule maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment at mining and construction job sites. Operate service trucks, remove and install mechanical parts, and repair hydraulic lines, pumps, driveshafts, brakes, and cylinders. Maintain condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment while using computer diagnostic tools. Follow all safety rules and regulations, work in both hot and cold environments, and maintain a clean, orderly work area. Able to work in an underground mine.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience performing service repairs on Heavy Equipment
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of equipment
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to bend, stoop, stand and lift 75 pounds continually throughout shift (8-12 hours.)
- Must be able to work under stress and prioritize work requirements to meet the overall operational requirements
- Must be able to work in both hot and cold environment
- Must be dependable, consistently at work and on time, follow instructions well, respond to management direction and solicit feedback to improve performance
- Demonstrated ability to monitor their own work to ensure accuracy and quality is essential
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
- Valid Commercial driver's license with a clean driving record is required
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening
- Able to work in an underground Mine
