Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance and repair on material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems. Maintain general building infrastructure such as pallet racking, overhead doors, HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and electrical equipment. Troubleshoot and fix problems with industrial equipment like sweepers, scrubbers, dock levelers, and ammonia refrigeration systems. Complete scheduled inspections to identify potential failures, manage work orders, and collaborate with team members to minimize downtime. Work independently or with others to perform light remodeling, carpentry, and painting as assigned. This role supports the Supply Chain Department across 2,230 stores and distribution facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist and turn frequently

- Ability to learn and follow Company and Distribution Center policies regarding safe operation of forklifts and pallet jacks
- Ability to learn and follow Distribution Center policies and procedures encompassing Purchase Orders, Parts Requisitions and Inventory and Maintenance Orders
- Ability to read and comprehend all labeling on hazardous materials and equipment in the facility
Desired Qualifications
- Experience and training in trouble shooting, preventative maintenance and repair in the areas of material handling equipment, conveyors, and general building and facilities
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems
