Job Summary
Diagnose, examine, and investigate vehicles to determine causes of defective operation for steering, suspension, brakes, engines, transmissions, and electrical systems. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and execute major or minor repairs on damaged components. Assist in inventory control and part analysis as necessary. Document all activities in MV's Fleet Management System while maintaining a safe, organized work environment. Requires high school diploma, one to two years of apprentice-level automotive or diesel mechanics training, and ability to pass drug screening. Hourly starting rate is $33.80 with 40-hour weeks and overtime available.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Combination of at least one (1) to two (2) years of apprentice level verifiable training and experience in automotive or diesel mechanics, which may include high school mechanics courses and/or a regional occupational program
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug testing
