Job Summary
Diagnose, examine, and investigate vehicles to determine causes of defective operation of vehicle systems and components. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and execute major and minor repairs of steering, suspension, brakes, engines, transmissions, and electrical systems. Document all activities in MV's Fleet Management System and maintain a safe, organized work environment. Assist in inventory control and part analysis as necessary. Requires five years of automotive or diesel mechanics experience and a high school diploma. Starting pay is $40.72/hour with overtime available.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Combination of at least five (5) years of apprentice level verifiable training and experience in automotive or diesel mechanics, which may include high school mechanics courses and/or a regional occupational program.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug testing.
