Job Summary
Diagnose, examine, and investigate vehicles to determine causes of defective operation while performing scheduled preventative maintenance and executing major and minor repairs of steering, suspension, brakes, engines, transmissions, differentials, electrical, wheelchair lifts, and air conditioning systems. Document all activities in the Fleet Management System and maintain a safe, organized work environment. Assist in part analysis and inventory control as necessary. Requires five years of apprentice-level automotive or diesel mechanics experience, a high school diploma, and ability to pass drug screening. Starting pay is $41.46/hour with 40-hour weeks, overtime as needed, and full benefits including medical, vision, dental, and 401K.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Combination of at least five (5) years of apprentice level verifiable training and experience in automotive or diesel mechanics, which may include high school mechanics courses and/or a regional occupational program.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug testing.
