Job Summary
Diagnose, examine, and investigate vehicles to determine causes of defective operation of vehicle systems and components. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and execute major and minor repairs of steering, suspension, brakes, engines, transmissions, differentials, electrical, wheelchair lifts, and air conditioning systems. Document all activities in MV's Fleet Management System and maintain the work environment in an organized and safe condition. Assist in inventory control or other duties as necessary. This role requires at least five years of apprentice-level automotive or diesel mechanics experience and a high school diploma. Starting pay is $37-$38/hour with 40 hours per week, overtime as needed, and full benefits including medical, vision, dental, and 401k. Career advancement is available through the national company.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Combination of at least five (5) years of apprentice level verifiable training and experience in automotive or diesel mechanics, which may include high school mechanics courses and/or a regional occupational program
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug testing
