Job Summary
Troubleshoot trucks and equipment while ensuring all work adheres to OSHA and DOT standards. Perform regular preventative maintenance, carry out routine vehicle checks for fluids and air pressure, and repair components including brakes, wiring, suspension, and tires. Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and keep the shop orderly and safe. Use diagnostic scanners and computers for daily duties, and drive vehicles to destinations for services not performed in-house. Requires a valid Class B CDL, four years of diesel engine repair experience, two years in welding, and experience with hydraulics. Must hold an inspection license and bring a complete set of metric hand tools.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years experience in diesel engine repair
- Capacity to work independently steadily, and to lift/maneuver/operate heavy equipment
- Experience with hydraulics
- Ability to use computer diagnostic tools
- 2 years experience in welding
- A valid driver's license Class B CDL
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Roll Off trucks (preferred)
- A complete set of your own hand tools, including metric size
