Job Summary
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair gas and diesel fleet vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulic lift gates, and electrical systems. Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and emergency roadside service calls while maintaining accurate work orders and training new drivers. Install mechanical components, operate snow removal equipment, and ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and safety requirements. Maintain a clean work environment and travel to multiple locations across Wisconsin and Illinois as needed. Requires 5 years of fleet maintenance experience, Class A CDL, and a valid DOT Medical Card.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5-years of fleet, diesel, or automotive maintenance experience
- Safe driving record
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid DOT Medical Card
- Ability to provide personal hand tools
Desired Qualifications
- Technical degree in diesel or automotive technology
- Class A CDL
- MIG/TIG welding experience
- Experience repairing commercial vehicles
- Working with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Operating standard shop equipment
- Operating mechanic's tools
- Strong troubleshooting skills
