Job Summary
MECHANIC IN TRAINING responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as pumps, generators, electric motors, pneumatic pumps and tools, motor control centers, and control panels by performing duties including observing operations, dismantling devices, inspecting parts, adjusting functional components, repairing or replacing parts, lubricating and cleaning, testing performance, placing purchase orders for parts, repairing electrical equipment, and adhering to safety policies; includes attending safety classes and performing other duties as assigned. Requires a high school diploma or GED or specialized vocational training, plus a valid state driver’s license and ability to meet driving standards. Willingness to work non-standard and overtime hours; physical requirements include standing, kneeling, bending, climbing, and the ability to lift heavy weights; background screening, drug testing, and driving record review where applicable are conditions of employment. Required Qualifications
