Job Summary
Inspect and repair company/utility equipment, including pickups, line trucks, mini excavators, and generators, while troubleshooting diesel and gas engines. Perform road tests and operational checks to ensure repair quality, place orders for parts and materials, and maintain accurate records. Monitor prioritized projects and assignments to meet deadlines, keeping tools and workstations clean and safe. This role requires a valid driver's license, CDL Class A/B, and five years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and diagnostics. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7am to 5:30pm, with work in inclement weather.
Required Qualifications
- MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS; 1/4" up to 2"
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- CDL class A/B or ability to receive within 90 days of employment.
- 5 years of experience.
- Knowledge of vehicle and equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and diagnostics.
- Knowledge of safety guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to do tune-ups, engine work, hydraulic work, cylinder replacing, pressure setting for backhoe, basic engine repair, and electric repair.
- Basic diesel and drive train experience.
- Ability to use cutting torch and basic welding skills.
- Knowledge of minor heavy equipment repairs.
- Ability to work in inclement weather
- Ability to work schedule M - F; 7am - 5:30pm
- Must be able to bend and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more or 20 inches or less, with the ability to judge distance and space relationships.
- Precise hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
Desired Qualifications
- 6 or more years of experience.
- DOT Certified Flagger.
- CDL Class A license.
- Formal education or training in mechanical equipment repair.
- Air brake certification.
