Job Summary
Disassemble, repair, and rebuild complex natural gas engine and compressor components using manual, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools. Clean, inspect, and test equipment while reading detailed prints and using precision instruments like micrometers and dial indicators. Conduct risk assessments before operations, maintain a safe work environment, and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues. Identify hazardous conditions and report problems immediately. Collaborate with team members to keep work on schedule and complete required training and documentation. Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in mechanical test and assembly/disassembly, or heavy equipment repair and maintenance
- Able to interpret drawings, prints, and engineering specifications
- Physically able to perform tasks involving pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and similar activity
- Valid driver's license
- Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
- Basic math skills and the ability to read schematics
- Mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and a team-first mindset, with the ability to work independently to engineering specifications
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in operations or service center environments
- Strong knowledge of natural gas engine and compressor equipment
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and setting up and running test operations to engineering specifications
- Familiarity with safety regulations and good housekeeping practices
