Job Summary
Repair and maintain industrial production machinery by diagnosing faults, replacing worn parts, and reassembling equipment after inspections. Operate newly repaired machinery to verify adequacy and test mechanical products against manufacturer specifications. Adhere strictly to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards while providing a safe environment for all personnel. Record repairs, clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles. Read technical drawings and manuals to guide repairs. Provide assistance throughout the yard and perform special projects as assigned. Communicate upward regarding operational problems or policy violations. Work independently with attention to detail, handling unpredictable workloads and irregular schedules.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED Certification
- 5 years of experience assisting skilled trades persons in the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment
- Associates degree in Heavy Duty Truck or Heavy Equipment Repair
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to drive an automobile
- 18 years of age or older
- 16 years of age or older (for Canada applicants)
- Satisfactory completion of a post-offer drug screen
- Satisfactory completion of a background check
- Review and sign an Arbitration Agreement
