Job Summary
Assemble mechanical components using engineering drawings, build sheets, and Bills of Materials to construct custom heavy equipment from the ground up. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, gas, and diesel systems while reading blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to ensure accurate assembly. Perform final assembly tasks including wiring, lighting, decals, and customer-specific configurations, followed by testing completed equipment to verify quality and performance. Install and route hydraulic lines, fill systems, and prepare finished units for testing. Mentor and train Mechanic Assembler I team members while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Make assembly improvements and communicate process changes with production leadership.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of mechanical assembly or heavy equipment experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read blueprints, hydraulic schematics, and electrical diagrams
- Experience with hydraulic, electrical, gas, and diesel systems
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Desired Qualifications
- Technical certification or Associate Degree in Automotive, Diesel, or Heavy Equipment Repair
- Previous experience assembling heavy equipment or industrial machinery
