Mechanic II

Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •HVAC troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair experience in an industrial or commercial setting (chillers, air handlers, compressors, ventilation systems)
• •Fork truck (sit-down, stand-up, and/or reach truck) operation experience with demonstrated safe material handling practices
• •Working knowledge of plumbing systems including installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of piping, valves, fixtures, and drainage systems
• •Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals for mechanical and facility systems
• •Preventive and predictive maintenance experience, including lubrication, inspections, and equipment reliability checks
• •Basic electrical knowledge (motors, controls, sensors, and wiring) to support cross-functional maintenance tasks
• •Welding and fabrication experience (MIG, TIG, or stick) for equipment repair and modification
• •Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe work practices in an industrial environment
• •Experience working in a regulated industry (nuclear, manufacturing, or energy) with strict procedural compliance
• •Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose mechanical failures and implement corrective actions
• •Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced maintenance environment
• •High School diploma or equivalent education
• •Minimum of 2 years of related experience is required
• •Ability to read basic mechanical drawings, understand mechanical symbols and use hand tools related to the job
• •Ability to analyze and identify problem
• •Good communication skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, management and customers as required
• •Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment
