Job Summary
Install, align, and maintain conveyor belt systems, chain drives, and hydraulic/pneumatic components with limited supervision. Diagnose mechanical failures using root cause analysis, read schematics, and execute intermediate fabrication including drilling, tapping, and welding. Perform preventive maintenance and lubrication tasks to support reliability initiatives while providing hands-on guidance to Maintenance Mechanic I employees. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to ensure rapid restoration of operations. Requires 2–4 years of industrial maintenance experience and proficiency in conveyor systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Required Qualifications
- Intermediate-level mechanical maintenance and repair skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision on routine repairs
- Solid understanding of conveyor systems
- Solid understanding of chain drives
- Solid understanding of hydraulics
- Solid understanding of pneumatics
- Solid understanding of mechanical troubleshooting
- Proficiency in conveyor system installation, tracking, and repair
- Working knowledge of chain drives and specialty mechanical applications
- Practical understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic system components and functions
- Intermediate fabrication, machining, and welding capabilities
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments
- Solid grounding in preventive maintenance and lubrication best practices
- Ability to interpret mechanical and hydraulic schematics
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- 2–4 years of industrial or mechanical maintenance experience
