Job Summary
Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on semi-tractors, trailers, heavy equipment, and machinery, focusing on brakes, suspensions, electrical, lighting, and mechanical systems. Repair hydraulics, electrical, and other mechanical components while troubleshooting and diagnosing repair needs. Prepare and complete all required paperwork for maintenance and repair activities. Maintain strong safety consciousness and attention to detail while working alone or within a team.
Required Qualifications
- One plus year of related diesel mechanic or related military training
- Knowledge of welding and torching helpful, but not necessary
- Mathematical and mechanical aptitude
- Related experience and knowledge of the methods, materials tools and techniques used in repairing semi tractors & trailers
- Strong communication skills, effective communicator
- Proven ability to work alone or in a team setting
- Attention to accuracy and detail
- Demonstrated safety consciousness
- Relevant Military experience
- Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
- Be over 18 years of age
