Job Summary
Maintenance Mechanic troubleshoots and repairs mechanical equipment across the site, performing installation, repair, and replacement of pumps, valves, motors, and related process equipment. Uses micrometers and calipers, operates drill press, hydraulic press, pedestal grinder, mill, and lathe; may work alone or in small groups; call-ins required; outdoor work under varying weather and environmental conditions; standing 5-6 hours daily; climbs up to 5 flights of stairs multiple times per shift; performs read-through of blueprints/single-line drawings to support maintenance tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- minimum 2 years of mechanic experience in industrial/manufacturing environment
- experience with troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment
- ability to read and write and have competence in basic mathematics
- experience with micrometers and calipers
- familiar with reading/signed blueprints or single line drawings
