Job Summary
Mechanic I needed in Portland, OR to perform preventative maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks. Responsibilities include routine vehicle preventative maintenance inspections and adjustments, repairing malfunctioning components, retrofitting engines, changing brakes, adjusting steering systems, replacing worn-out parts, and changing hydraulic fluids. Use hand tools and power tools, perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, and tire changes, perform light electrical work, complete company training, and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- One year of experience in a maintenance role
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Broad knowledge of safety practices
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team orientation
