Job Summary
Mechanic I Packaging responsible for monitoring packaging and palletizing equipment to ensure continuous line flow and packaging to meet customer demands; perform routine preventative maintenance and unplanned repairs; repair and adjust equipment including belts, pulleys, sprockets, bearings, chains, motors; diagnose and repair valve, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; document work in CMMS; maintain organized workspace and adhere to 5S; perform non-routine maintenance as assigned; strong emphasis on English communication, reading manuals, and safety certifications.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Lock-out/Tag-out certification required
- Forklift certification required
- Sanitation certification required
- Experience in manufacturing maintenance, preferably in food processing
- Ability to read and follow instructions in English (written and oral)
- Ability to perform basic math
- Valid Driver’s License and driving record meeting company standards
