Mechanic I - P/T 20 hrs/wk

This role involves performing skilled mechanical work on a variety of automotive equipment to support the Transportation Department. The incumbent will handle vehicle maintenance tasks, inspections, and related duties consistent with an entry-level mechanic position, requiring hands-on automotive experience or formal training, a valid NC CDL with X, P, and S endorsements, and a NC Vehicle Inspector License. The position is part-time (20 hours per week) and At Will, with a focus on practical maintenance and servicing of vehicles. Experience in auto repair, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and using standard shop tools is expected.
