Job Summary
Diagnose problems and perform complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs on all yellow iron and other oil field equipment. Conduct preventative maintenance according to established guidelines, keeping accurate records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System. Identify and order necessary parts, replace components, and assist lower-level mechanics with work assignments. Perform daily inspections of tools and equipment, ensuring cleanliness of hand tools, equipment, and parts. Troubleshoot and complete repairs or modifications on equipment while maintaining bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish. Requires valid driver's license and ability to work in extreme heat and vibration conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- minimum five years related experience or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Valid Driver License
