Job Summary
Diesel and pump mechanic needed to inspect and diagnose mechanical and electrical problems on rental equipment, repair or replace defective parts, troubleshoot engines from Perkins to Kubota, test systems for proper performance, and perform preventive maintenance. Must have formal mechanic training, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read technical manuals and schematics; strong communication and problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude for customer interactions and teamwork. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, repairing components, performing oil changes and lubrication, calibrating systems, and ensuring safety and quality in all maintenance tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Formal mechanic training from a trade school or other accredited institution
- Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing a variety diesel engines
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
