Job Summary
Mechanic sought to inspect, diagnose, overhaul, and repair heavy haul vehicles, commercial ready-mix mixer fleets, and heavy earth-moving support equipment across multiple project environments. Responsibilities include performing fleet PMs and emergency field support, troubleshooting drum rotation gear drives, water pumps, hydraulic lines, and engines; maintaining safety and environmental compliance; filing FMCSA logs, DOT inspection records, brake certifications, and fleet maintenance sheets; coordinating with Driver Lead and reporting to Maintenance Manager; and promoting health, safety, and environmental policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license, Class A or B commercial driver’s license preferred
- 3 years experience directly related to the duties or mechanics school graduate (Heavy equipment diesel engines and transmissions)
- Requires working outdoors in all types of weather conditions
- They may be required to work long and unpredictable hours
- Must be able to stand for long periods on varied surfaces
- Must be able to move freely, including the ability to stoop, crawl, and bend at the knees and waist
- Must be able to lift 100 pounds unassisted
- Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of PPE including respirators
