Job Summary
Diagnoses problems and performs necessary repairs on machinery and related mechanical equipment in a midstream oil and gas setting. Responsibilities include identifying and repairing mechanical and electrical faults, consulting with field operators, using specialized testing equipment, reading workshop manuals, performing routine and occasionally high-complexity tasks, keeping records, and remaining available for on-call emergencies. The role emphasizes independent problem solving, safety, and teamwork while maintaining equipment performance through lubrication, tuning, and component repairs. Must be capable of operating a motor vehicle in process areas and adhering to company values and schedules. Required Qualifications
- 6 months minimum of oil and gas mechanic experience
- Requires supervision, direction, and training in the performance of routine duties
- Basic mathematic and mechanical skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public
- Proficiency in the use and application of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)
- Ability to make independent, rational decisions, as required
- Ability to work alone and highly motivated
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle in and around process area
- Ability to consider safety in all decisions
- Self-starter, team player, and comfortable working under pressure
