Job Summary
Mechanic Helper / Inventory Assistant support for STX Corporation’s Palmetto yard, assisting mechanics with equipment maintenance and repairs, loading/unloading railroad materials, and maintaining organized inventory. This hands-on role involves yard and shop duties, operating forklifts and skid steers when qualified, outdoor work in variable weather, and helping field crews. Required Qualifications
- Current valid driver's license
- Dependable transportation to and from work every day
- Clean driving record and ability to be insured under company vehicle policy
- Ability to report to work on time and as scheduled
- Ability to work longer hours and overtime is required
- Strong attendance record and reliability
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently without constant supervision
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physical labor throughout the workday
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
