Job Summary
Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical faults in heavy trucks, including diesel engines, gearboxes, brakes, and suspension systems. Perform maintenance, engine overhauling, and major mechanical repairs using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment. Troubleshoot issues such as overheating, oil leakage, and abnormal noise, then conduct road tests and final inspections. Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and spare parts while following safety procedures and keeping the workshop organized. Report major defects and part requirements to the supervisor. This 2-month role is extendable for candidates with 3–5 years of experience in heavy vehicle mechanics.
Required Qualifications
- ITI, Diploma, or technical certification in Automobile Engineering, Diesel Mechanics, or a related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Truck or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- Strong experience working with heavy trucks, trailers, buses, or commercial vehicles
- Good knowledge of diesel engines, transmission, clutch, braking, suspension, and steering systems
- Experience in engine overhauling and major mechanical repairs
- Ability to read technical manuals and understand mechanical drawings
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and workshop machinery
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Basic communication skills in English
