Job Summary
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, powertrain components, air brakes, steering, suspension, electrical systems, and emission systems. Perform routine truck inspections and maintenance of fleet equipment using scan tools and laptop technology. Follow shift leader instructions while working independently or with the team to maintain an effective work environment. Own or obtain necessary tools to complete all job functions. Available Monday through Friday with 7:00 AM, 3:00 PM, or 11:00 PM start times. Hourly wage ranges from $20.00 to $33.00 with a $2.00 shift differential for overnight positions and paid overtime after 40 hours. Requires a valid CDL Class A license or completion of company-paid training.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Must hold a valid CDL Class A driver's license OR be willing to successfully complete Company paid CDL training program
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to pass a DOT physical exam
- Must be able to spend a minimum of eight hours on feet
- Work environment involves ability to bend, kneel, crouch, walk, and drive
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and a criminal background check
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2 years technical instruction in diesel or auto mechanics is preferred
- Welding and torch experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle or be willing to learn
