Job Summary
Diagnose and repair operational difficulties with heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment, including rolling stock. Maintain and repair diesel, CNG, gas, and electrically operated vehicles while completing daily reports, work orders, and administrative tasks. Plan and schedule repairs in M5 planner, procure parts, and coordinate the review of mechanical write-ups. Utilize power and hand tools to ensure safe working conditions and compliance with all regulations. Assist in training new employees and maintain a clean work area. This boots on the ground position requires a high school diploma, one year of diesel mechanic experience, and computer literacy. Starting pay is up to $30/hr with overtime after 40 hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Technical diploma
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as a diesel mechanic
- Must be computer literate
- Must have the ability to be trained on software systems
- Must have the willingness to learn
- Must be able to meet relevant criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
