Job Summary
Diagnose and repair operational difficulties with heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment, including rolling stock. Maintain and repair diesel, CNG, gas, and electrically operated vehicles while completing daily reports, work orders, and part procurement. Plan and schedule repairs in M5 planner, coordinate mechanical write-ups, and ensure safe working conditions with full compliance to regulations. Utilize power and hand tools to perform maintenance on heavy and hydraulic equipment, maintaining a clean work area and assisting in new employee training. Work 4am-12pm M-F shifts with overtime after 40 hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Technical diploma
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as a diesel mechanic
- Must be computer literate
- Must have the ability to be trained on software systems
- Must have the willingness to learn
- Must be able to meet relevant criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to follow detailed instructions

- Ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to understand and effectively use repair and parts manuals written in English
- Ability to operate any vehicle or equipment necessary to perform job
